JERSEY MIKE’S EXPANDS POPULAR TAILGATE TOUR

TO INCLUDE NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE

AND COLLEGE BASKETBALL GAMES

In 2024, Jersey Mike’s Subs is expanding its efforts to reach sports fans by adding National Hockey League (NHL®) games and college basketball games on the Naismith Trophy Tour to its already successful college football multi-city Jersey Mike’s Tailgate Tour.

The 2023 Tailgate Tour stopped at 29 college football games across the country which will continue next year. From January through February 2024, Jersey Mike’s activations will take place at three NHL games, including the 2024 Discover NHL Winter Classic® and Navy Federal Credit Union Stadium Series, along with 10 college basketball games where fans will have a chance to take photos with the Naismith Trophy.

“Since we introduced the Tailgate Tour in 2019, we have seen the tremendous power of experiential marketing,” said Jeff Hemschoot, Vice President of Marketing, Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems, Inc. “Sports fans have a chance to sample our sub sandwiches, and touch and feel the brand, while interacting with the brand in a more meaningful way.”

The activation areas will be in high-traffic locations. Sports fans can play virtual reality games, download the Jersey Mike’s app to enter to win “Subs for a Year” (one lucky winner at each game), and experience other game day fun. Hockey fans will also have a chance to sample Jersey Mike’s authentic fresh sliced subs at the NHL activation sites.
